OPEN ARCHITECTURE MODULE


Many applications require an amplifier module alone without an integrated power supply because of size and weight constraints for lower cost. LCF has developed a unique design which we call an "Open Architecture Module" to provide our customers with more flexibility to customize our module to their application. The important advantages to this type of module are as follows:

 

  1. Seperate bias control terminals at each MOSFET gate for good flexibility in gain control.
  2. Seperate power supply terminals for each MOSFET drain for effective amplifier protection.
  3. A low loss output matching network for high efficiency and optimum stability.
  4. Seperate bias inputs and drain feedthroughs permit either Class A or Class AB biasing. Turning off the bias disables the amplifier.

Our amplifier modules can be wired inside for a single power supply terminal and input and output SMA connectors. In addition, to our standard modules, we are able to customize to your requirements. More detailed application notes are available from LCF Enterprises upon request.
